Three questions we ask of every piece
Brand matters less than people assume. A beautifully made piece from a label nobody has heard of will outsell a tired one from a famous house every time.
Is it well made?
Fabric with some substance to it. Seams that lie flat. A lining that has not given up. Hardware that still works. Natural fibres wherever the piece calls for them.
Will it still look current in three years?
We favour pieces with a long shape life over pieces that were a moment. A good coat, a well-cut trouser, a proper knit, a bag with a decade left in it.
Would we be pleased to find it?
The most honest test there is. If we would stop and look at it on someone else's rail, we will take it.

Our range runs from Canadian makers and considered contemporary labels through to authenticated designer and archive pieces. Everyday and occasion both, so long as the quality is there.
We are always short of good outerwear, real knitwear, and well-cut tailoring — those three categories sell fastest and we rarely have enough.

Children's collection
Children outgrow a size in ten months and a well-made coat is good for ten years, which makes children's clothing the most obviously sensible thing to buy preloved. We take babies through to older children.
Quality basics and proper outerwear both, from established houses and independent makers alike. Condition matters more here than anywhere — parents check cuffs and knees first, and so do we.
Before you bring it in
Unsure about one particular piece? Bring it anyway. We would rather look at it and say no than have you not ask.
What we cannot take
Not a judgement on anyone's wardrobe — simply what does not sell here at a price that is worth your time or ours.
When to bring what
We take by season so the floor always reads as current. Bringing a piece inside its window means it goes out immediately rather than waiting in the back.
Spring
Lighter knits, transitional layers, trench and mid-weight coats, linen, lighter colours, fresh prints. Long sleeves but nothing heavy.
Summer
Silk and cotton dresses, fine knits, tailored shorts, sandals, resort, swim. Anything for warm weather and travel.
Fall
Heavier knitwear, wool tailoring, mid-weight jackets, boots, trousers. The autumn wardrobe, and our strongest selling season.
Winter
Heavy knits, wool and cashmere coats, down and shearling, scarves, hats, gloves, boots. Occasion wear for the party season.
Bags, fine jewellery, scarves, and authenticated designer accessories are accepted year round — they sit outside the seasonal windows entirely. So does anything genuinely rare or collectible, whatever the month.

Walk-in intake is Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday, 12–4pm. No appointment needed.
