In ResidenceOne designer, one season, one corner of the shop
Resale is about giving good clothing a longer life. The residency is the other half of the same idea — making sure there is still someone making good clothing here in the first place.
Eudaimonic
Our designer in residence this season. Their work is in the boutique now, available to buy new alongside the collection.
A short description of Eudaimonic's work goes here — what they make, how it is made, and what makes it worth stopping for. Come in and see it on the rail.
How it works
A season is roughly three months. The designer keeps their own pricing, we take a straightforward split, and the work sits in the boutique alongside the collection rather than tucked in a back corner.
For shoppers
New work from an independent designer, in limited numbers, that you will not find in a department store. You can meet the maker at the opening, and often they will alter a piece for you.
For the designer
A physical space in front of people who already buy considered clothing, without the cost of a pop-up. We handle the selling, the till, and the customers.
For us
It keeps the shop from being only about the past. A resale boutique that never sells anything new is a museum, and we would rather be a shop.
Apply for a residency
We are looking for designers and makers working in or near British Columbia, at any stage, whose work is made properly.
We reply to every application, including the ones we cannot take.
Send us your work
One email is all it takes. Send a link rather than attachments — we will ask for more if we want to see it.
